May 2-5, 2002

The day continued... and still, there we were: up to our necks in beer and suntan lotion.

| Here's yet another row that begins with Becca. I give up. After a final random photo, I laid myself down on the grass, only to be greeted very close up by Sara. Hi Sara. By this point, I was too lazy to sit
up to take further shots, so the next few were taken from a prone position -- thus their orientation. |

 |
| Eventually, the event ended and everybody drifted away. I stood in the field, and watched as all the people around me drifted off to their separate goals. Feeling remarkably isolated, I wandered the campus for awhile,
taking random landscape shots. Consider this my melancholy period. |

 |
| I'm actually quite fond of a few of these shots, despite the mood I was in when I took them. Eventually, I wandered back to JoEddia, where Matt and Edd were busy typing. The two of them cheered me somewhat, and Matt invited
me to play in the LARP he was setting up later that night. |

 |
| Edd was hard at work on her paper (which I'm sure she did very well on.) A little later, Nick arrived to dress up as Butch for his part in the night's LARP. I got a photo of him and Joanna-in-bikini. Edd dressed up all gothy-like
and we went down to play. The game was quite interesting... a music industry murder mystery. I played the part of the clueless undercover FBI agent. |

 |
| After the game, I convinced everyone to pose for cast photos... I couldn't bear not to, with the lovely costumes some people had whipped up. Here we see Matt (as recording executive) with his life-partner, Nick (Butch.)
Cami got to portray a woman who would "do anything to get what she wanted," and very nearly wound up doing that anything with Neal's white rap star. Amy was an absurdly high-maintenance opera diva. Then Cami got another shot, alone this time.
And last in the row, Mike as fruity performance artist Nautical HG, and Erica as Slag -- our loving tribute to Courtney Love. |

 |
| Edd was the reclusive and quiet female rock star, in contrast to Dillon's hyper-friendly latin pop star. Cathy (of course) played the music agent who took control of every situation she entered... until the FBI shot her.
Ben was a long time master of the Synth Guitar, and Saif was one of the pioneers of techno. They both did very well with the material they were given... |

 |
| To wrap the night, I took a couple of small group photos. There are some very cute couples in these shots... after the game, I managed (with the help of the super-awesome Cami, and the very accomodating Matt) to get
into the room in which I would spend the night. I was joined, late at night by Joanna, and wound up having one of the more enjoyable getting-to-know-you conversations I've had in a long time. Cue forward to next morning, and I'm still trying
to avoid being photographed at the dining hall. |

|
| I managed to shoot almost no photographs on sunday, as I spent the whole day gaming. I had a very nice poker night with several very cool people, and decided to stay until monday morning and take an early train back home.
The next morning, I snapped some shots in Joeddia as I prepared to leave. I think the last shot in this row makes a fitting cap to the weekend. They're very cute together, no? I thought so too. |
